Dell S2409W Flat Panel Display (24-Inch Widescreen Monitor)

The Dell S2409W Flat Panel Display Monitor is kind of an odd beast. For starters, this is the budget version of Dell products, which automatically puts it in a class all it’s own. In addition, despite it’s functionality this flat panel display is missing a few features that are common in monitors these days. Is it worth the price of admission anyway? Read on to find out.

First, have to get all the bad things out of the way. This monitor is missing so many of the little bells and whistles its not even funny. It cannot be adjusted for height. That’s like a standard in most computer displays these days. Also, there is a girth of audio speakers on this machine. For a monitor that can double as a television, that doesn’t bode well. This monitor also has a weird resolution for the size. In comes in at 1920 X 1080, which is a little small for a 24 inch widescreen.

With those complaints out of the way we can move on to the positives this monitor has to over. The Dell S2409W has an HDMI port installed, allowing it to properly hook to the Xbox 360, PS3 and any other HD device for high-definition viewing of video and playback. It works quite nicely too, as the difference can be seen between DVD playback and Blu-Ray. This is also a cheap version of a 1080 monitor display, which means for the ultra HD resolution can be played.

Overall, this Dell monitor is slightly recommended. There are better quality ones out there but it’s hard to fight anyone on the price. The Dell S2409W Flat Panel Display will be especially useful if you plan on gaming or having any sort of high definition parties.
